New evidence shows there is no cross-breeding between endangered manatees in Puerto Rico and those in Florida, resulting in less genetic diversity in Puerto Rico's small manatee population and impacting its odds of survival.

Idiots. That is what is going to happen to the tiger, elephant, wolf and rhino populations because we have let the populations get down so low. There isn't going to be any genetic divesity. Humans know this and are so stupid to let the idiot politicians try to run this country.

Puerto Rico must do everything it can to protect these animals from humans and boats.

Puerto Rico must protect these animals. Yet, if their number has gone down so much, it's becoming difficult. Man's fault again.

Poor manatees- if they don't get hit by a boat, they die of inbreeding. Enforce boat and ship speed limits!

They are such gentle creatures, I don't understand how people can harm them!
