It would be a shame to see these beautiful creatures go extinct. Climate change must be addressed before their ice caves are gone.

And just on the same page where I was reading the story, there's the link for this one: Shrinking Snow Depth On Arctic Sea Ice Threatens Ringed Seal Habitat. As always all these measures come quite late, but I guess it's better now than ever.

These are so beautiful and cute cretures. Need to protect them and doing so is also protecting the Planet earth.

The vanishing ice and global warming needs to be "on the table" every day. Our legislators are hounded by lobbyists and corporate strangulation and do not see the severity of the earth's ecosystems at hand. Alternative energy must be implemented across the globe. Also, until humans realize that their precious cattle (not pigs or chickens) are right up there with cars, trains, and planes in emissions. They use 30% of the entire earth land area. 1800 lbs of water are used to make a lb of beef. The beef eaten by humans creates 158,000,000 tons of greenhouse gases per year.

Thanks. So heartbreaking to think these wonderfull animals could be gone forever. We as humans are a shamefull and ignorant bunch of maggots. Besides the ongoing ice melting crisis, these animals also face human poachers...what a grand world we live in....
