Gads, this is not a surprise to me at all! $$$ in the pockets and distruction to the environment and creatures. Death is not AGREEABLE to me at all and this is what is going on and WILL happen with this! I have called, written letters and yet it still is going on. We do need to do something about this since this will end up being one of the most tragic and worst oil disastesr of all time....in a pristine area...LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

money corrupts, money creates greed, greed kills......sad world we will leave the future all so a few already wealthy can get wealthier.....makes me hope for a heaven so that the wealthy (BIG OIL in this case) one day will have to face a judgement and be asked "What good did you do for future generations and my beautiful creation?")

We can either use our own oil in this country or we can buy oil from terrorist supporting nations and support terrorism..can't be both ways!

And if we continue this insanity, what do we do for drinking water....and safe food...and breathable air.

Cree Prophecy
When all the trees have been cut down,
When all the animals have been hunted,
When all the waters are polluted,
When all the air is unsafe to breathe,
Only then will you discover
you cannot eat money.

The real price of anything is
the amount of life exchanged for it.
So the real question is:
How many lives per gallon?

What is wrong with these supporters, other than the money people?
Do they not realize, that they will NOT benefit, in any way, from the completion of this pipeline? In fact, we all pay and pay, dearly.

Is it stubbornness ~ a need to support the RIGHT, no matter what they do to destroy our planet?
Sometimes, I think this is exactly what it is. I wonder if this 'extreme right-brain' way of thinking, is correctable.

Don't people realize that if Big Business wants you, the average person SHOULDN'T.
They are in business to _take_ your money, not to enrich you.

Most of our politicians are bought and paid for.
Let's start the necessary cuts in our government, with P-O-R-K. That's P-O-R-K.
Add to that, many of our legislators enormous _perks_, that keep the average American in the middle and lower classes. They fly around, eat around, and party around the world on our money.
REMEMBER THAT.

Sorry, 1st sentence.
If Big Business wants _it_, not you.

When the unspilled tar sands oil does get to
the Gulf oil refineries, there is absolutely no
guarantee that refined oil is going to stay in
North America. It will go to the world's
highest bidder.

As always destroy the environment, the people or animals living either on these coveted lands all for the lucre. Not trying to find alternatives to our oil needs. So sad.

Not surprising. For them, it is all about the money. My husband is in O & G and I ask him how he envisions the earth for his grandchldren. He is clueless as are all the other greedy oilmen.

We are killing our own planet, and corporations and politicians see only their profit. What a shame.

Noted. Thanks for this great info, Kevin. What a list! Kind of looks like those of us who want to protect the environment are being beaten up by a gang of greedy bullies without consciences. The environment "protectors" who are unable to get large funding need us all right now to join them. Many have petitions and letters ready to send; for those whose budgets allow, donations are always welcome, too. Don't forget the next "Big Event" is Earth Day, April 22nd....many rallies and protests now being planned all over the U.S.

I will not be detered from spending. You can't buy a wrong and with the computers, people are more aware of the difference between true and lies and most will do the right thing.
