I've had a tree bag annoy me in the past. I do wish more areas would instigate bag taxes. Where I live you have to pay 5 cents per bag, which did a great job of coercing those who weren't concerned about the environment before to think twice and start using reusable bags.

It's time we found a better way. How about more money spent on biodegradable bags made of material that disintegrates in sunshine? We have the material, which is used in agriculture already. By using biodegradable plastic we could limit pollution and save animal lives too.

Plastic bags have been banned in my area in all Supermarkets and most stores, including Home Depot. I buy Bio bags for my garbage and to recycle food scraps

I have never heard about bag snagging. Too bad that we are going to need this kind of work.

I'm not a 30 Rock fan, so I breezed through it, at first. Great tool, would that several could be joined to the project even if volunteering. Why not? There's a large population and lots of folks who could benefit from something to do, especially something that improves THE CITY.
