NEW YORK (AP) -- The average price of regular gas crept up to $4 a gallon for the first time over the weekend, passing the once-unthinkable milestone just in time for the peak summer travel season.

Right about now electic hybrids are starting to look good. No gas for short trips. When our power comes from wind and solar, which it will in just a few short years, no pollution at all.

What else can we do? Care2 is leading the way vegetarian, which makes a big difference in oil consumption.

And we can ultimately reduce per capita consumption by reducing capita. I have no children, and plan on having one child and adoption.
