Our biggest need is a foster home for her to recover in. She will need sponsorship funds for treatment. Minimum she will need extensive blood work to find out what is wrong. Best case scenario she has Valley Fever or Tick Fever. Both are treatable. HELP!

Questions about this dog can be directed to the rescue organization at:

medicalanimalsinneed@gmail.com

From the article:

"One 2-year-old dog housed at the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control in Phoenix, Ariz., is little more than skin and bones.

Long gone are any signs of healthy fat to round out her young body. In its stead are protruding bones and a sunken skull.

Despite her frail body, she is friendly and hopeful for the kind touch of a hand.

A volunteer with a local rescue organization spent a bit of time with this emaciated dog and shared the following:

'She is so sad and weak. The flies were all over her and at first I was worried she had crossed over the bridge. When she held her head up and looked at me I almost started to cry. I got a can of soft food and as she ate it she wagged her tail.'

There is hope for this pitiful girl - a rescue organization is willing to pull her from this facility and get her into a veterinarian, but they are in need of help.

Kelly Ferreira, President of Medical Animals in Need, advised:

'Our biggest need is a foster home for her to recover in. She will need sponsorship funds for treatment. Minimum she will needs extensive bloodwork to find out what is wrong. Best case scenario she has Valley Fever or Tick Fever. Both treatable in the long term and could be responsible for her emaciation.'

This rescue organization means hope for a dog who has nothing.

You can help - please share this dog's story. Hopefully, with networking, it will reach someone who is able to provide a much needed foster home.

Donations for this dog's veterinary needs can be made via this link to Medical Animals in Need.

Saving those who need it the most takes a village of compassionate people who are willing to band together. Right now, this dog has nothing - and no one.

You can change that by reaching out to network, donate and lend her your loving hand.

Questions about this dog can be directed to the rescue organization at: medicalanimalsinneed@gmail.com"

I will keep Jessie in my thoughts and prayers...

I have a good friend who lives in that area; I am going to share Jessie's info with him. He may know someone who can foster Jessie while she recovers.

Noted. I could hardly look at those pictures. How cruel some people are. If they can't care for a pet then don't take it in the first place.Hope they get a really loving family. Thanks Michelle.

Praying for her, she just looks so unhappy. No animal deserves this, all they ask is to be loved & feed, and what you get back in return is a thousand times more than what you give. Thanks Michelle
