Excellent article, Kristen, thanks for posting.

Yes, in repayment for protecting Cheney and Bush from impeachment, it is now the Democrats' turn to have the White House, and to ensure that if anyone in the Bush administration should still, despite the immunity Congress, including the majority of Congressional Democrats, voted to grant war criminals in the Military Commissions Act, need pardoning, it will be Hillary, whose husband Bill pardoned similar felons from the Bush Senior administration (he said it was "to uphold the precedent") who will be president.

I've know this since before Hillary even announced, and have posted my predictions and the reasoning behind them many times.

I do still wonder what "precedent" Bill Clinton was referring to. Before him, was there a precedent of Democratic presidents pardoning Republican war criminals? It probably dates back to at least World War Two, when Prescott Bush, the current president's grandfather, was not punished for violating the Trading With the Enemies Act by supporting Hitler.

I've also explained that the Democrats cannot impeach Bush and Cheney because the Democrats voted for every single high crime and misdemeanor that Bush and Cheney committed while in office, so the Democrats would have to impeach themselves in the process, which isn't going to happen.

The article's references and links to stories about the New Hampshire primaries are very instructive also. Despite huge unexplained discrepancies in the results, there is no chain of custody for ballots, the security seals for the ballot boxes can be removed and replaced without any trouble at all, and the ballot boxes often showed up unsealed. But this is nothing new, and it will not stop those who are in a state of deep denial for voting for whichever war criminals get the Democratic and Republican party nominations, as if their votes really mattered or might be counted.

We even have people here on Care2 chanting mindlessly, "If you don't vote you can't complain," as if the founders of this country who wrote the Declaration of Independence, a long list of complaints, had no right to do so because there were no elections yet, and "It is your civic duty to vote," as if everyone has an obligation to vote in rigged elections and pretend that they aren't rigged. People in the old Soviet Union under Stalin were much smarter than Americans. They knew their elections were rigged, but they never pretended that they weren't.

We do have some very intelligent people in this country, and I'm happy to see that you're one of them, Kristen, but for the most part, half the people know the truth and don't bother to vote, and the other half get caught up in the mass frenzy, mob psychosis, mass hysteria and seasonal dementia of elections, and simply refuse to think or to care.

Well, there are also some who work for the political parties and know that they're lying, but they get paid for it, so that's their job. I don't mind them so much, as everyone has to survive, but I do feel pity for the poor suckers who fall for their lies.

I pray to God it isn't! BUT agree with all Marc posted. If that ITCH BAY (pig Latin) gets into office, it will be as bad as it is today. She's the WORST THAT COULD HAPPEN!

. . . if I were Hillary Clinton, I might steer clear of pointing out the indictments against the supporters of other politicians. After all, she is the former law partner of admitted and convicted thief Webb Hubbell, and you'd have to guess that she was instrumental in getting him installed into the top ranks of the Justice Department when Bill Clinton was president. She was also likely instrumental in Bill's appointment of Hubbell to the Arkansas Supreme Court in the 1980s.
And before anyone says that Webb Hubbell's conviction was the result of Kenneth Starr's excesses, Hubbell's wrongdoing came to light before Starr took over for Robert Fiske, and Hubbell admitted to defrauding his clients and his law partners by billing for services never actually performed and pocketing legal fees that should have gone to his firm. Hubbell was later wrongfully harassed by Starr, but that was on different matters than his initial conviction.

In more recent times, Hillary has supporters in this campaign who are recently indicted, like Dickie Scruggs, who apparently attempted to bribe a judge:

And who could forget Norman Hsu?

I don't think the "you have dirty friends" argument is one that ultimately benefits Clinton, not when her dirty friends are more numerous and much dirtier.

NBC Confronts Hillary With Pic of Her and SlumlordMatt Lauer asked Hillary if she remembered meeting (slumlord) Rezko. The senator also argued that it wasn't unfair for her to bring up Rezko during the debate.

Thank you to each of you who spent the minute or twenty (Mark!) to comment. Blue Bunting, where oh where did you find the dirt on Hill? It took me quite a long time to start finding truthful articles about the Clintons - I had been brainwashed when they won the election in 92, so thankful Bush was out! But soon found out where their allegiance stood. Well, here's to the hope that more people will come to realize the system is beyond broken and we need a revolution!!
