Read up on John Muir's noble effort to save this region
& the Grand Canyon ealier in the 19th century.

There are many picture & a biography about Muir on Google.
Muir fell in love with this region & many more & went to war
with anyone in politics to save them from industrial destruction.

We can & must do the same ifohis honorable efforts way back then.
