This corporate corruption is way bigger than just Obama.
The current downfall of this country has been in our obeying the corporation...big big mistake.

If I may just mention something here please. Tierney, I know we two are not friends on here and has nothing to do with what I am saying. Just that I "do" have ^so many American friends. When I receive messages asking to Please, please sign this Petition and that petition, and forward, I so badly want to. Many I can and do. But there are also many I cannot as well. When I ^note and then go to Sign the Petition, is for US citizens 'only'. This then becomes saddening to me, also frustrating at times, when I so badly ^want to sign this Petition. Most of the Petitions I cannot sign are in some way connected with the ',org'. Usually most others I can manage, thankfully. But being Canadian, with so many American friends, when this happens, Yes, it does sadden me, pains and frustrates me, but what else can I do, but to ^note and ^forward. Leaves me with a kind of incomplete feeling. Thank you for sharing, caring and also listening. Heartfelt Blessings to you and All. sherieH.

I agree, there are others running the show, telling Obama who to nominate. From Geithner, the the GMO and agribiz blowhards....really the only votes we have left are w/ our wallets, not buying the crap and not growing the crap.

Oh its the same old song and dance. We rotate the same people around who are all pushing the same agendas for Corporate America. Yet others who would be more fair, also could do a great job, and not beholden to anyone except the right thing do not have a prayer to get these positions.

This follows the appointment of the fellow from Monsanto. The President is highly intelligent, a Harvard grad, but he is part of the system. His actions since inauguration indicate that he is in fact a politician and like all politician beholden to special interests groups of one kind or another. I agree with Dandelion G, as I often do. :-)

Here's an idea, appoint a Native American to the department of agriculture or the park service or take your pick of any other executive appointment. Too many executives from corporate America, regardless of party affiliation. Why is it that no matter who is in power, the expectation is that a wealthy executive knows best?
