Keep calling. Keep writing emails to both Senators and your house member. www.senate.gov and www.house.gov. At the top of each site you can search for your congress members if you don't know who they are. Get their website URLs and write them via the sites. Get their email addresses and send them separate emails too. You can get the phone numbers for local and DC offices there too. Fill out the comment forms on their websites too. You can call their local offices (usually) for free.

Keep calling and emailing and filling out the comment forms even after this gets signed because it is what comes out of reconciliation and gets signed by President Obama that matters!!

KEEP THE PRESSURE ON!! OUR PLANET IS OVERCROWDED!!

Women's healthcare is not something for MEN to control ever again. It's not something for religious whack jobs to control either. If I can't deny a heart operation to the pope or every bishop and cardinal, they should have nothing to say about my health care either.

Thanks Tierney. This is a healthcare reform that would be far more reaching than just denying a basic freedom for women, it denies their families as well and sets up an environment for unforeseen negative consequences with regard to poverty and the spinoff from unintended pregnancies. One step backwards for man, one giant leap backwards for mankind.

Thanks Tierney. But do not worry about me, I, like all Vermonters maintain regular contact with my senators and my representative. I see my representative in person about every two months. I always up issues like this one right to his face. That is a powerful form of direct communication that carries greater weight than petitions, at least in my small state.

Thank you everyone! Bee Hive Lady, that is a great idea. I have been invited to a few town hall type meetings with the Governor of my state maybe next time I will go!!! I really don't care for poiticians but what other choice do we have. You are lucky you don't have to deal with the D.C. metro area. Traffic is a nightmare!

I don't see how the Vatican can do this in the Unisted States. There is a separation of Church and State. The Pope has some lovely aspects to him and what he represents but this is one area that is a sore spot with many people. I will sign the petition.
