Novella Carpenter grabs a cup of coffee, heads out to her backyard, where a Discount Market stands just beyond a chain-link fence, and watches four chickens scratch at the ground, chase bugs and lie in the sun.

Pretty disgusting if you ask me! How anyone could raise anything and kill it. The only thing is that they did not suffer in a factory farm. I don't think this lady likes chickens much she does not name them!

What a deliberate disconnect! I realize we all would do some extreme things in the case of survival... But where oh where is the absolute NEED to kill an innocent Other??? The frivolous ways some treat the living is absolutely sickening. :(
