A small town in Australia is doing just that. Residents of Bundanoon, Australia claim that it is not good for the environment, along with other complaints.

I would ban the plastic bottles for water, juice or anything. The plastic is unsafe as it's chemical process for manufacture leeches into the water at unsafe levels with high temperatures and causes disease. Also, the plastic continues to fill our landfills and oceans and is devastating to our health and our environments health. Go back to glass and wash and re-cycle please!

Only if it is supplied in glass or some other type of non harmful product. Otherwise it would be our deaths not to have water available in the hot weather.
