One of the things that irks me so much is how much water is used on American lawns and gardens.

I live in Australia and havent watered anything from a tap for 8 years. We have a tank to water native plants,never watered the lawn. I have 4 min. showers and use a bucket to catch excess water and use that to water plants. We have been on water restrictions for 7 years and don't waste a drop. You get fined if you use a hose for anything.
