Rest in peace, my lovely tigress. I normally have a fit with white tigers because of the whole genetic mess, but all life is precious and I am sad to see one pass on.

RIP. Beautiful One. Isn't it wonderful that her life was appreciated enough to memorialize? Thank you to the Bhopal wildlife authorities for honoring her.
Thank you Naresh.

They lost another white Tigress, Rashmi, in March. She was suffering from chronic septic arthritis and authorities believe on top of that, that shock might have been a mitigating factor as another white tigress was put into her enclosure with her, mistakenly, and they scuffled until the other cat was removed.

I appreciate the funeral service and the respect paid, but these animals are not meant to be caged. They should be able to roam free, more stringently protected by the government. I hope that, if India can't more aggressively address this on their own before all the tigers are gone, they will find a spokesperson to reach out to the world community for assistance before it is too late. While America has lost it's strong voice with China because we are so indebted to them, I hope that all countries will join together to take a stronger stand against China on this and many other issues.

RIP beautiful girl.

Seventeen years is a long time to be with a cell, almost a jail sentence. It was probably a relief for the poor animal, after so long a period in captivity. I hate it when they are kept in zoos. The taunts and teasing that they ahve to endure, is unthinkable. Pass on, sweet maid to lush and greener jungles!

She's free at last. She over the Rainbow Bridge with the rest of them at peace and happy no more pain or tauning or poking or laughing at her no more. Thanks Naresh K.
