I only have one question: Why? Why go to a nursery of all places! This makes my blood boil, Annelies. Those poor parents whose babies will never come back home. Sadly noted, thanks Annelies.

When the guy was arrested, he was only 20 years old by the way, he actually had the adress on him of another nursery, he was travelling by bike, so when he hit the first nursery, he got on his bike and drove to the second one, about 3 kilometres away, but the police could arrest him. He has a psychiatric history they said, but appearantly he had on a bulletproof vest, several knifes plus an axe on him. So it all seems premeditated to me
We will learn more about the case in the next couple of days.
Bless there souls. My thoughts are with these families

I am so sorry that these little children were the victims and I admire the bravery of the women who tried to protect the children, they should all receive medals.

My heart goes out to all of the families involved and wish the injured a speedy recovery.

Is it just me or does the world seem to be going insane? A daycare center? Stabbing children? Dear Goddess, please save us from ourselves.

How terrible for the surviving children and their parents-relations.What they must be going through now!.It could be that this is another case of a person known to be mentally instabile(to say the least) but allowed to walk about free and not detained by the authorities. We must wait and see.

My thoughts are with these families too... it was just horrible ! He is already declaired mentally instabel so he probably won't go to jail but will be institutionallised and set free within a couple of years like so many others. This would not be acceptable ! He's a baby-serial-killer and he intentionally aimed at their troats !!!! This is the worst crime there is !!!

Sheila, unfortunetly if he has been declared mentaly ill he wont get to prison where he certainly would be killed by fellow prisoners as killing children is a"inside unwritten tabo"held by most prisoners all over the world. What ever made him SUDDENLY(?)get the feeling to get up,go out and kill children!?.I dont believe in the simple"blew a fuse"theory-something serious must have happened to him to get this particular urge.Maybe I have watched too much TV"The X files"but this guy didnt just go out and take out the next person or people he met.It was cold blooded planned and directly aimed at children.Sure the guy is nuts(which means he is not in control of his mind and therefore cannot be held responsible for his pathogical behaviour)but what triggered the moment he came to the decision to"do it"???.

Today its been said that apparently he went and talked to a lawyer 5 days before the crime. He now says he canot remember doing the crime, hears voices in his head and has apologised to the victims relatives.
