The real problem for those who suffer from this is that they are looked upon by the people as "diseased" and shunned. Many do not go to the swimming pool or even to the sea. Insulting comments are made etc...

In Turkey they treat P. with some little Bass fish, that nibble away the skin flakes and seen to bring the only effective long term cure. As far as I remember they do this in Russia as well. Might be worth checking out.

One of my close friends has P. and she is always afraid to let her legs show, even when it is extremely hot. she is always searching for ways to control it. I really feel for her.
