Middle-classes & upper-classes would be in shock with such a depression/recession. However, millions of us us would barely notice any difference and already be somewhat adapted to survival methods.

Rather a case of the poor already being used to struggling to survive ??
I would agree its going to hit middle & upper classes hard. Too much is taken for granted nowadays.

People also seem to be pre-occupied in the pre-election mania - and might not be keeping their eye on the ball as to what is happening financially.
