You cannot currently send a star to Kim because you have done so within the last week.

Posted to myspace, FB, & twitters.
I'm going to finish my housework now, this really infuriates me, and takes me somewhere I don't want to go. The dark side where we dream of punishment for low lives like these that are polluting our planet.

This is horrifying and sickening. Where ever did they freeze this darling in ice if it had to be such a big block of ice as well. We're certainly looking at someone who has either a very large freezer or on an industrial estate! That's where I would start looking if I were them anyway. I'm not quite sure how cold it gets in BC, but here you can get freezers big enough to take a bin full of water in it. We need big freezers to keep bags of 5 kilos of ice in it. They are small blocks of ice in a bag we use to keep drinks cold during hot weather.

I've read some of the stories in her blog and it certainly is true that BC does need stronger sentences for animal abuse or bad treatment of the animals, be it pets or other animals. Who are these people anyway? They must be sick or have no concious altogether! That's what I think!

You illegimate son-of-a-blue dinosaur. There are no words to express the rage this type of thing brings up in me and I am a passive person. May you travel down the River Styx with Cerebus breathing and drooling down your neck for many, many, years!!!!

The worst dead are to be frozen. How much was suffering that female dog, and she trusted people.
Don't trust humans any more - warning to all animals!
Thank you Kim*

FROZEN DOG MAKES NUMBER ONE ON "MOST READ WORLD NEWS LIST" B.C. frozen dog is now number one on the most read world news list according to a Belfast Newspaper this morning.

Should B.C spend $$$$$millions on a new state-of-the-art shelter in SURREY blocks from the city pound?

Cases of animal abuse since Dec. 2010 suggest that the focus is elsewhere: Dog shot in the eye Crawls home 2 miles to abuser - Starving Doberman found - Puppy beaten to Death in Motel -Dog found In Block of Ice

According to an unofficial Canadian national data-base- B.C is now Canada's Animal Cruelty Crime Capital since the year 2010 Ontario is second on the list- Shame!

Kim, I saw this story yesterday.I think it's the same one about a dog being left on somebody's lawn in a block of ice? I can't read it again because it's all too sickening. I am still busy with my petition on Stop Oil Tankers in BC's Great Bear Rainforest. A petition, I feel, needs lots of research to back it up. I took days to write mine. Somebody knows something about who this person is that did this, I'll bet. But what will happen to this person even if charged? Another slap on the wrist. Do you remember a little while back a bill being passed in the House re stricter animal abuse laws? What I remember is that it passed, but was blocked by the unelected senate. I could have this wrong. It was something to do with blocking it, or not passing it in the House to begin with because the new legislation caould have affected factory farming treatment of animals - that's what I think I remember. Joyce Murray, the Liberal MP who introduced the law to ban oil tankers said at a meeting I was at recently that even if it passed in the House, it could be blocked by the unelected senate because the Senate is now majority Conservatives. I think she added that this "blocking" is happening more under the Conserv. governement. It is very archaaic to have an unelected body able to "block" bills passed by an elected House, don't you think? But something needs to happen to force another attempt at change of animal cruelty laws.

Some people shouldn't be allowee=d to have pets or children. Having a license does not make you a loving, caring parent.

The person, or persons responsible for this, is not human...And when they are caught, they ought not to be treated as humans either... This person, or people are going to rot in hell, I can't wait until Karma catches up with them, and it will...I wish every bad, rotten horrible thing that life can bring to these scum bags...

Disgusting, some 2-legged creatures we are forced to share our planet with! Hope you 'ice him over' when you trace him Kim - we'll come and help!!! And yes, every pet owner should first get a flippin licence before being allowed any kind of pet!!! One of the reasons I support our local 'Lucky Lucy Foundation', they spay/ neuter and educate as far as possible - and I believe 'educating the poor' is a good start to stop/reverse the inhumanity our poor animal kingdom have to suffer on this planet.

I would say not only Canada, but everywhere around the world. Leaving people like that in society could only do more harm than good. If it was possible, maybe they could just be shipped off to an island to abuse each other, since no one would really care about them.

This is beyond my ability to imagine... my desire is to want to do something terrible to the culprit but I don't know enough. Was this an attempt to preserve an animal who was already dead (as they claim in the article) or was this poor dog brutalized... and is the owner dead as well? Was this an attempt to preserve evidence or is there some other nightmarish reason for this action?

Just when you think you have heard it all- along comes a story like this one THEN ALONG COMES THE EXECUTION STYLE SLAUGHTER OF 100 SLED DOGS - what next?- HERE'S WHATS NEXT: the Canadian annual Seal Slaughter.....tops them all. Canada We Are An International EMBARASSMENT on the world stage.

I SAY TIME FOR A HUGE OVERHAUL IN THE CANADIAN FEDERAL ANIMAL PROTECTION LAWS since B.C obviously has no intention of making changes. Federal Legislation change will stop cruelty everywhere in Canada not just B.C A good source of information is You can download petitions from that website next week- sign them and mail to Harper
