Was Google's network of online services manipulated to silence critics of Barack Obama? Looks like we've been right all along - Obama supporters trying to silence his detractors.

if there is a "flag" feature and people who did not like the blog clicked it, then I guess it would cause a review of the any person's blog that has been "flagged". After they reviewed it, their blogs were reinstated so I'm not sure where I see the problem.

The problem is the deliberate attempt to disrupt the blogs and other forms of negative expression. Obama has a paid posse of internet spies who spend their days trolling the web for anti-Obama comments/blogs/whatever to disrupt/invade. In other words, his campaign is trying to silence any negative feedback from his detractors to make it look like everyone is fine with him. It is good to see people fighting back against this communistic attempt to control the expression of opinion.

and I know that all the candidates do the very exact same things. Every body knows that not all people are happy with Obama. It was just in the news recently that some vandals have been going around spray painting racial and anti Obama graffiti on walls and cars etc. Then they places Hillary Clinton business cards on the car windows.

There are people out there that say America is not ready for a black president. There are those who hate Obama because they like Clinton more than him etc etc and then there are the extreme republicans etc. If anything, I bet it was McCain campaigners who did the disruptions so that people would automatically blame Obama's campaigners. Now that is so conspiracy for you! *LOL*

But not all the candidates have the resources Obama supposedly has. I get what you are saying. My first thought when I heard about the Florida thing was that it was an attempt by another candidate's supporters to discredit Hillary supporters. However, since Hillary is in debt and McCain supposedly doesn't have the financial backing Obama has, it is natural to figure he could afford a larger "attack squad". This is especially true because many of us here on Care2 have been victims/survivors of their tactics.

yeah but you also forget that there are people out there who don't need to be paid who love to just be"trolls" and they do some of the biggest rumor spreading. I don't think that it is all about resources any more. Because of the internet it is easy to be just a "hater" and spread crap. I am not sure that every one is being paid. I have seen pretty passionate people who do alot of words of mouth spreading and they are not paid by any one. They just feel passionately about what they believe. Even if you disagree with them, this fuels them to want to spread what ever about who ever.

After all look at how passionate animal rights people here are. They do a lot of save the animal campaigns with out being paid one red cent, and they work. I know there are people out there just as passionate about politics will do the same.

I guess whether or not they are paid isn't really the issue. The animal rights people here are passionate in a positive way. They work hard to oppose animal abuse, etc. As far as I know they don't go out of their way to deprive people of free speech. Same with the Hillary supporters I've known. We spend our time trying to do positive things for our candidate, along with exposing things the public should know about other candidates that the MSM isn't covering.

I believe it is wrong for people, whether or not they are paid, to deliberately disrupt others free speech just because it makes their candidate look bad. They should be putting their resources into putting a positive face on their candidate. I really don't know of large numbers of Hillary supporters who are trying to disrupt Obama supporters blogs - certainly not to the extent it has been done to pro-Hillary blogs. My experience with Obama supporters has been that they answer a criticism with a criticism instead of with a legitimate defense. It is as if they cannot stomach the least bit of negativity about him and must squash it.

I have to say humans are all the same. Not to take away from the good that has been achieved of course but I have seen people on both sides try and to suppress others views no matter what the issue is animals or politics. I wish debate was allowed with out all the negativity.

I am not questioning the right or wrong of it all. Of course it is wrong but I try to see the positive in all things even the negative. Maybe it keeps people on there toes, keeps ppeople awake willing to fight for causes.

It is not that you would know the disruptors, just random people on the internet. I have popped into a few of these articles about Clinton and Obama on here and I think that a lot of C2 people forget to be compassionate and that open debate is ok. All the blocking and name calling is just immature.

I think people get over zealous when trying to defend their favorite when all they want is for the other people participating to understand their position. People forget that compassionate approach is what wins their understanding even if it is a "agree to disagree" issue.
