Jamie, An unusual case requiring unusual punishment. The judge was correct in sending this man up for 30 years. He had, in my opinion done as much damage as if he had killed the mother. I am proud of her for standing up and getting out. Lets hope we can save her children from repeating what they have seen all their lives

In my opinion he isn't a man, not even a human being, he's just scum, he deserves all he will get and more.

What an evil man, and to compound the felony, he actually makes his son both witness his cruelty, AND video the obscenity of his actions, with a younger child present!! A well deserved sentence, for a very usual crime, unfortunately. Now, without that video, I wonder how the trial would have gone. What would have been the outcome, if his wife had been driven to murder, without the video? Could ANYONE have blamed her for extreme retaliation, but withoutn the video, would she have been able to convince a jury of her husband's mental and physical cruelty, and the serious effects this must have had on their children?

How will this boy ever have normal relationships with people after being raised in this situation????? I fully understand the battered woman syndrome but it's still disgusting that so many put up with this and keep their children captive in this sick kind of environment.
