Rumors of an economic recovery may be whispered elsewhere, but here, where the downturn remains entrenched, 22 people have killed themselves this year, and two more cases were likely suicides, outpacing the county's annual average of 16 self-inflicted

I wonder how many of these are cases of undiagnosed/untreated depression?

This is becoming all too common. Some kind of help needs to be put in place and very soon!
Thank you Nancy.

It is so sad how BO doesn't really get it and he never will he thinks everything is fine from his high perch and it isn't and why should he care he has everything he ever wanted and we are supporting him and he has money.

It's true, I believe for all of them.

I have seen that this is true. A relative of someone that I work with was going to lose her home and her pets and she became suicidal. Thankfully, she had family to turn to. She's okay now. But what about those who have no support system? Imagine becoming homeless and having small children. There aren't enough social services to take care of all those who are struggling.

Thanks for putting this out there, Nancy.

Thank you Nancy.

Cannot attribute to any single factor they say?

Well that may be the case for some, but it is a well known fact that poverty takes it toll after so long a time!

How much can a person take after living in such a situation?

This issue is about poverty and loss of hope.

It is sad, but a reality.

Society must do more with government to help protect these people, poor souls.

NO ONE SHOULD BE HUNGRY!

Greed! It kills in many facets!

My thoughts and prayers are with all those who suffer from having nothing.

Thank you,
