The shelter employees are saying Frank won't struggle or complain as he's being led down the hallway tomorrow for his last walk anywhere. "He isn't the type." PLEASE SHARE EVERYWHERE TO SAVE SWEET FRANK!

I am so sorry, I read this story and was nearly in tears as to how sweet he is and didn't look at the date, I just wanted to get it posted ASAP.

The is some messages at the bottom of the article, the last one is from Sandra Van Guilder who wanted to adopt him, but she doesn't say whether she actually did, I have posted a message and hopefully she will let us know that he is happy and safe.

so sorry again!

What a heartbreaking story! I hope someone has adopted him. Why couldn't they have given him more time to find a good home? He's just a pup, for God's sake!

did anyone already email: Lauren @ petrescue@greenvillecounty.org to get the story after so many days. this pup is also one of many, its the way it works in some states. We need to stand up against these political ideas and those who make killing lists and don't want to get educated, the heartless ignorent.
got this message on 1ste march in Holland, so I guess someone would have adopted the puppy, if there had been given time, but since its about tomorrow which was yesterday's yesterday I fear the worst.
Lets update this to fight for the futere of more of these victims. Those who take care of these dogs don't have time nor the job to stand up in time. They're also victims of this situation. If he didn't survive lets not forget and make an issue of it.

I am still awaiting a response from Sandra to see if she adopted dear Frank, I will post it as soon as I get a reply.

Jelca is right, there are many thousands of pets who stand on death row everyday, Pet Pardons on FB list some and they ask you to share their plights on your Wall so it can be spread far and wide, in the hopes it will reach someone who can adopt these desperate animals.

Please join Pet Pardons and hopefully you may save a life!

On February 6th, Sandra Van Guilder (San Diego State University) post it on the facebook page: "Got in touch with Lauren who handles the pet rescue at the shelter. We will pick him up Friday. He has to be neutered and he has mange. We'll get him to the vet once we get him. So happy it all worke out. "
On February 15th, she wrote: "UPdate on Frank. He was very sick - and until yesterday I wasn't sure he would make it. But his meds are working - he is eating - even eating his treats. He is a love - now he is better found out he really doesn't like my cats - or maybe they didn't like him first. We are working it out."

thanks so much Alison. was getting ready to fwd to everyone. Am so glad to hear that Frank is safe. What the hell is going on with these shelters? Why do they kill so indiscriminately? Is it just easier because the animal can't complain. NO KILL SHELTERS IN EVERY STATE. There are more "Franks" out there.

You are right Nancy, it is lovely to hear good news on here.

Thank you to everyone who has posted, you are all great, Frank has no idea that he has touched so many hearts.

Thank you Marc for posting that update, we can be sure that Frank is safe and well, along with a puppy pit who was also about to be killed; Sandra saved two lives that day, she is a very special person and I wish them all a very happy life together.

Thank God our prayers were answered - just like our pitties, Frank won't complain when being led anywhere as he still has too much faith in humans, whether it's earned or not!!! Our dogs were not 'cat friendly' but now, 3 months 'down the line' they lie next to our granddaughter's cat on the bed, i.e. time will heal anything!!!!!
