Craigslist is refusing to scrap its pet-adoption section over the case of "Puppy Doe," the young pit bull that was found beaten, burned and left for dead in a Quincy park. -

Why on earth is Craigslist refusing to discontinue live animal ads? Too sad.

Sad and sickening, I have never used craigslist and never will...they sound like traffickers of animals and humans alike that cater to the sick world we live in.

I have never been to Craigslist. I have read many negative reports about the site- and the people who regularily use it. At one time, it was said to be a favorite site for rapists And robbers. Now, a site for people who want to mistreat animals?....I believe everyone who wants to adopt a child OR an animal should be investigated by people who know how to do it. There are far too many people who adopt in order to mistreat the innocents.

Shared and noted. Says they are horrified. They can't be horrified if they refuse to stop the ads.

Poor judgement 4 sure. I believe most of the animals passing hands through this site and others fall victim to abuse and torture. Very disappointing. Thanks Sue

This is insane!! This is a pretty simple and moral thing to do. It wont make craigslist any worse off then they are now . Well i'm mad but it would only make them a better and safer place people might want to use .So they would not lose any popularity over this if they stopped posting FREE animl ads or any animal related ads. THERE are NO MORALS HERE!!! He does not give a dam* and this is very scary.....

This site is not the proper format to place beloved pets/animals for adoption. I'm very disappointed with this decision. If they truly "CARED" they would reconsider this position! Thank you again, Sue.~~

Thanks Sue.

Craigslist doesn't want to stop the listings because that's like admitting liability. Unfortunately the internet or www or whatever you choose to call it, wins out in the end due to it's simplicity. People don't have to leave home to sell off whatever they want or find whatever they want.
Very sad for animals of any sort.

Noted..This makes him as culpable as the POS that committed this atrocity. Boycott Craigslist, when they don't follow ethics, hit them in the pocketbook. That they seem to grasp!

Sad news , I hope since Anonymous announced that they are against animal cruelty & exploitation
perhaps they will help to convince Craigslist in their own special way .

How many more cases like Kiya should happen before Craigslist finally discontinue the ad?!

Every time I see an ad for a free pet, I email them information about this problem and offer helpful alternatives, such as rescue organizations or no-kill shelters in their area. I believe this could be a bit more effective. Some people just aren't aware (or as aware as we are).
