About 1 in 10 Californians with a home loan is now in default, and there's growing evidence that the mortgage meltdown is spreading to commercial real estate

Those who created this deck of cards should all be in jail. They knew this wasn't the right way to finance yet they kept on doing it. They played on peoples dreams of a piece of the American dream, leading them to believe they could afford it or could sell and make profit to then have a down payment next time. Many that were at the top knew one day this would collapse but they kept on going, taking the money and run, to heck with the rest of us and our economy.

I live in LA. Every where you go, every neighbourhod there is a for sale sign. The majority are foreclosed.
These banks should be closed and the CEO's all in jail. They ALL knew what they were doing, these so called MBA graduates.

Anyone who saw the soaring home prices of the last few years should have known something was wrong; it was not sustainable. I remember reading a few years ago, somewhere, that something was wrong. Turns out to have been true. And it's not just the banks to blame; there's a lot to be passed around.
