mmmnn,don't doctors get little gifts from the drug companys for promoting certain drugs? i think its a covert test situation!

It would be nice if pharmacists could take a more active role in providing some monitoring and feedback when meds are prescribed. They know much more about meds than most physicians. People can consult with pharmacists and seek more info too, if they have the cognitive ability to do so. We can be more proactive in our own treatment if we ask questions. I consider it my responsibility to be as informed as possible. Maybe doctors would be more careful if they were required to write the purpose of the medication on the prescription.

Yeah, some doctors do perscribe the wrong things and should know their labels more.... or refer to the manual
