Two transgender people who were stabbed Wednesday, one fatally, in Northwest Washington might have been victims of a hate crime, D.C. police said, although investigators had not determined what led to the violence.

Might have been ??? You can bet your sweet patootee they were hate crimes!!! My heart goes out to these poor souls trying to be who they are - getting murdered or severely bashed - it is just not acceptable!!! People just cannot go around murdering and abusing others because they are different it is just not on!!! However - just so's they know - "what goes around - comes around"!!! TY Terry. Brightest Blessings.

When you stab somebody does it really matter whether you are robbing them or hating them? Of course not. Senseless violence is a crime no matter the motivation and perpetrators will hopefully be caught and punished.

I agree with Mark. Murder and any other physical violence is a heinous crime no matter who the victims are.

Hate crimes are a terrible thing, they lead to murder as hate is as strong as murder... it is so sad that we cannot love one another and tolerate our differences... that is why the world is so upside down

How horrible!! Crimes are terrible no matter what, but when someone is targeted because of intolerance it's almost like two crimes in one. We must continue our messages of peace and love and hope that people will one day see the light.
