I am so sorry for the 2 boys. I am also sorry that someone had a dog(especially a Rotty as I rescue Rottys) that was capable of harming a person or animal. There must have been indicators to the Rottys family of this kind of behavior prior to this. 2 young boys with life-long scars and memories-and one dog dead. thank you Terry for sharing this sad story.

Sad combination of events that has led presumably to the rotti being killed. the children did not know the dog would react to the shout at having their clothing picked up by the dog and the owner should have had better control of the dog or not taken it out where there were kids playing. Poor old dog has to pay the price for human actions and I can only pray that the children recover both physically and emotionally and the soul of the departed dog rests in eternal peace ni the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen!

I am sorry for the 2 boys and am pleased to hear that, despite the injuries, they are recovering well.

The attacks by dogs are because people do not know how to train dogs and often do not bother. I suspect that the rotty had not had enough exercise and am sad that he had to die because of his owner's negligence.

Unfortunately our animals have to be euthanize d because of trail and error, thousands of animals are mistreated due to lack human awareness..if you can't spend time with your animal and place it in the lap of your own children then whose to blame for a mishap when children antagonize animals for the fun of it until there pushed beyond their limits.

This is sad for bothe the children and the dog. Large breed dogs should never be alone with young children.
