This is presumably why they say the church is for sinners. It would appear the some priests ministers and lay persons (pardon the pun) see this as a personal obligation to keep sinning! Many target not only woman but boys and girls as well! Shame on them and the church in whatever guise, Protestant ,Catholic, Anglican or whatever they should not be sweeping these abuses under the expensive eclesiastical carpet!

So pleased that I am not a Catholic... but belong to a spirit filled church... I think abuse is rampant all over in every relgious practice and group... Just some are covered up better than others... But God does allow this to come to the top so that their sin is not hidden.. God exposes.. so that His church is cleaned and remains Holy that is the difference.. they they may repent or be removed...

I guess I'm going to hell since I am not at all surprised. Just glad I wasn't one of them, but they should have nails put in their hands for these atrocities.

They hide behind their religion. Of all people they should know better!. It is common sense to behave with dignity and ethics.

I could practically write a book on my opinions of these types of actions. Of course, IMOHO (In My Own Humble Opinion), I feel ALL priests, preachers, clergy, nuns...whether Baptist, Lutheran, Episcopalians,Catholic, "Non-Denominational", Mormon, Church of Scientology, and all of the others that exist, should BE ABLE to be married, have a spouse, and children if they so desire. I feel it is utterly ridiculous that a man or woman that decides to set and and spread the Lord's Word, should not have to "vow" celibacy , or anything of the likes. God put us here and one of our purposes is to be in "union" with someone we want to share our lives with, and go forth to "bear fruit". For me "bearing fruit" can mean a couple of different things. It can mean that we are made in God's image, to grace this Earth, find the love of our life, and have children. I think the Lord also meant in beating fruit, we are to go out and witness for Him. That does not have to mean banging on someone's door, and trying to push "religion" on them but to me it means "walking" in a steadfast manner that demonstrates your beliefs in our God. If you walk in his footprints and exemplify His words and commandments, you are bearing fruit.

We are humans, We make mistakes, Whether we are a Priest, a factory worker, the King or Queen of a country, a farmer plowing crops, or a nun teaching school, everyone has sinned, does sin and will sin. We try and learn from our lessons, and not do that thing we considered wrong in the eyes of God again. But, the Bible says "We will always fall short"... in other words not one person born here will be free of sin. You can be forgiven by God, if you confess with your tongue and mean it from your heart, and walk in the faith that sustains us through thick and thin.
We have began to hear so many "sexual" actions, from Priests molesting the altar boys. We read about a married preacher, or not married also, getting into an intimate relationship from someone in the church. We also see teachers, that find themselves sexually attracted to students, and it goes both ways. Mary Key Leturno is but one example. But coaches and teachers are not exempt from those types of mistakes.

I honestly feel if the bodies of religious beliefs allowed their pastor, preachers, Priests, and so forth to marry if they choose, to have children if they choose, we would see the numbers of children drop a great deal and quickly. To try and make someone vow to be celibate, or to never talk, or to fast for a month, and stuff such as this... well it almost would be considered an act of "hazing", if a huge Fraternity required new members to do some of those things. WE would also see the numbers of male and female clergy feeling complete and whole, in a marriage, thus the number of extra-marital affairs by those who choose a job with the Lord go down immensely.

WE are human. Our sexual behaviors are "genetically" within us. Those feelings are ones we are born with. It is the way the Lord made us.

I am stricken with shock, embarrassment, and a sadness... for the clergy that instigate this wrong behavior, and I feel deeply concerned for those kids, and/or adults that find themselves in that type of action.

Just another action or lack of action in our nation and around the globe that needs to be completely revisited, and dramatic changes made.

Now add the statistics on young males targeted and you will have a very, very scary number.

It has happened here in this little town in Delaware Co NY with a priest and some boys. He was arrested while in the hospital because of an auto accident while driving drunk.
