Great Article Ty!!! Thanks

Yep, I totally agree, sadly it is always the innocent ones that get killed, the drunk drivers always live.

They have pretty tough laws in California...they also need more check points all over, because I know that my cousin hit someone Not driving under the influence, but feel asleep at the wheel...I think if they had stops late at night, and during the days, didn't tell people where they were, they would catch more of these people!

Dee...caught this cause I was tracking and before I went to take off the tracking saw you had made a comment...

The even worse thing is that when the have check points here in Southern California they actually have it on the news so people can avoid them, what is with that????

Upsetting to me because you hear about all of these deaths, and the only one that survives is the stupid drunk that had no sense to NOT DRINK and DRIVE, that to me is insane.

I won't even take my dog if I am meeting my friends and have a drink, I refuse to drive with one! People tell me you only had one...I just tell them, frankly, ONE is ONE to many and the laws need to reflect that and give people harsher sentences...

Look at all of these STARS and their Goofy photos, they get off with 6 months probation, 1 night in jail - maybe, and a small fine...while, if they were not pulled over in the stuper they were in they would of run down anything in front of them.

Just NUTTY in my opinion. My heart just aches for all of these parents that have lost so much from such a needless crime.

While I do believe that these people do need help, I have sat in courts here in California and some of these people are so obvious abusers that they have been pulled over and over, then they get out and drive without a license and do a hit and run.

Just Nutty!!!

More Laws, and in fact, before you leave a bar, restaurant, you need to take a breath test in my mind, if you flunk, you wait for a CAB!!!

Thanks so much, Lone. This brings up the fact that we need all kinds of stricter laws regarding children - whether it's against drunk drivers, predators of all types, child neglect, and child abuse.

We need to keep our children close to us, and SAFE!

I would like to see the bars and restaraunts take more responsibility also, how can they get away with allowing so many drunks leave their establishments? I know you can get tanked at home and drive, but aren't most of them on their way home or to another bar? oh but that would hurt the bank account wouldn't it, we can't have that, better we allow little babies to die at their hands. :/

This truly is disturbing. I personally hope this person has been prosecuted for murder. After all, you know when your drunk. You know when you`re driving drunk. There is no excuse.
My thoughts and prayers are with this family in this AVOIDABLE loss.

blaming the bar and it's staff is a tricky issue, because you never know if your blaming the right one.i've seen people who can hold prodigious amounts of alcohol and who have visited several bars in a nite and it never show there condition at any of them. that said there should be no excuse for impaired driving.and if you do and you cause a death or injury you should pay the full price.and just because you work and support a family, that's no excuse.cause you've destroyed someone elses and deserve to pay a price.there are no excused for drunk driving!! none!!!
