i have so enjoyed the pow-wows i've attended. Such different women's dance styles -- very sedate in Houston; exhuberant in SanDiego. Were younger (more energetic), i'd've applied to be a foster mother to an abused child from the many Native American communities in Southern California. They are such dynamic people! Beautiful art & craftwork! Good eats, too!

I live between two Reservations within a 20 mile range. They have two kinds of pow wows up here. One open to the public and more for comerce and show and the the private pow wows only open to people of the nations or by special invite. I love them both!
