At one time, unemployment was well under ten percent, there was no fossil fuel or nuclear, or massive trade deficit and problems with banking/economy. best of all, the men hunted and fish.

That people still think of American Indians as brown with feathers in their hair is a sign of a lack of reading or just keeping abreast with what goes on in the world. I do think, however, that it's also got a lot to do with an innate prejudice, which decades of inculcation will take years to eradicate.
My heart thrills whenever I read books about the tribes and their customs. Dances with Wolves is one of my best movies.
