At present it doesn't look like a repeat of "Kathrina", let's hope it weakens before it go on-shore.

I surely hope and pray Ida does not do immense damage to anyone or anyplace. It is sad that it has already taken its toll on lives in Argentina, and now headed for the Gulf Coast. I am hoping it further slows to a tropical storm, which is bad enough due to flooding and those winds are strong enough to do lots of damage. My thoughts and prayers are with those in Ida's path.
