It's a shame when someone so young passes away; and it looks like this didn't have to happen.
Very sad.

This is heartbreaking. I pray for the people in the entertainment business. I hope they wake up. Brittany was so young and full of life. Sad and tragic end to a young life!

I've been in the entertainment business for thirty years, Cynthia, and most of my friends are as well. (I'm a writer and a musician.) I have never done drugs, and I never will. Some of my friends have tried it, but haven't been impressed. They are all are very health conscious, many are vegetarians, and most of them exercise reguarly. The entertainment business isn't all fun and games, and you need your strength. Plus, if you are to any degree in the public eye, you need to look good, and nothing destroys one's looks worse than alcohol and drugs.

I'm sorry for Brittany Murphy, and for her family and friends. She obviously ran with the wrong crowd. But don't assume that all people in the entertainment business run with that crowd. My friends are members of the health nut fraternity - not the drug scene. I only wish Ms. Murphy had been the same.

It amazes me how many stars die of drug overdoses. everyone wants fame, fortune and riches and so many are so unhappy once they get thier wish.
