they could have taken him else where, but it seems like to me they love to kill bears

Why did the Bear have to die? It wasn't his fault that some stupid man left food outside in his bin ( sorry Lone Trash) I hope he learned his lesson but he deserved that slap in the face, if the bear was hungry and used to finding food there and there wasn't any this time he had all the right to scratch on the door.

I think people ought to learn to close the dust bin ( sorry Garbage bin) properly so that not one animal can get into it. Mind you if you get the kind of bins we have even a bear could quite easily open them. One for the rubbish, one for the Garden waste and one for the recycle goods.

Not much for a bear to find in that lot, I hope!

If you leave out food for stray cats you wouldn't expect a bear to slap you round the face! I'd have thought a slap around the face sufficient punishment. I also agree with Terry, the bear was cheesed off but didn't really hurt him.

six months probation is excessive. and this is precisely why i don't report sightings of mountain lions and bobcats. people lose their minds and the animals get killed.
