This has been on the news where I live for many days now. I broke into tears hearing the family was so overwhelmed with the amount of people expected to attend her funeral, that they didn't know if there would be room for them. They were so honored that so many loved their BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER, that it obviously brought them much peace. I say BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER meaning INSIDE, a well as her obvious beauty.

I can not even imagine their pain. So young and so full of life. How can something so horrible happen and how can we stop it.. I am thinking more and more of caning.. really I know it is a violence but cowards such as rapists hate to have pain inflicted upon them. I think maybe just reading her story makes it hard to think of mercy right now.

Thanx LW for this post I am amazed that known sex offenders are allowed to just wander around doing what they love best - and all these young girls suffering the consequences - a law must be passed to tag these evil men and make sure that decent folk know of there whereabouts at all times so as to protect themselves and children. This girl had her entire life ahead of her...
this shouldn't have happened.
Her killer should get the death penalty-sooner rather than later. Send the bastard to hell.

Rest In Peace Chelsea.

"Chelsea was a straight-A student at Poway High School ran on the cross-country team, played French horn in the San Diego Youth Symphony and was active in her school's peer counseling program. She was a tireless volunteer in school and community activities, whether working at a prom for special education students or packaging food for needy families in Africa."

My heart and prayers are with Chelsea's family right now...

I wish there was a way to stop this kind of thing forever. Even if there isn't, not enough is being done. No-one should have to suffer like this girl and her family. What a beautiful person, gone too soon. Noted with sadness, thank you.

I went for a walk with my dog yesterday at the park where she was killed. It is a beautiful place. So sad that a monster stole her precious life.

My heart aches for the family and friends. I can't begin to imagine what they are going through. You will have so many thoughts and prayers. God bless and hold on to each other.

This was a travesty of the American way of life...This SHOULD NEVER have been allowed to happen..This pervert should never have been allowed on the streets with decent people...He should have been put out of his misery after his 2d paraphrase the youth of today-"bust a cap in his head"!!!!!!!

Once again, Pam, I agree. It is beyond sickening, beyond disgusting, that some sick ass can take a life because he has the cowardly urge to dominate and rape. It is simply horrifying to me that (most of the time) women and children are the victims of some piece of crap's sickness. To hell with the sicko's civil rights. Those ended when he chose his victim. These monsters do not deserve to live. No one should lose a life because some sick loser, a cancer in society, is allowed to roam free. These walking asses should be executed. Does anyone really think a rapist/murderer can be rehabilitated? Time to take back decent society. Execute the cancers!

I've said this many, many times - but I'm going to say it again -
Child molesters and rapists should be treated like murders - life in prison !!!
No bond before trial !! No parole !!
There should not be a second chance for these people !!!
