All-too-many people are soooo dumbed-down & gullible most of the times
Capitalism doesn't allow democracy. If the people disagree, the powers-to-be just buy themselves another sheeple.

This is SO disgusting - every other civilized country labels that poisonous crap called GMO's. Just imagine what good could have been done with the 40 million spent fighting this proposition.

One of the methods is pure political falsehood. I'm looking at a deceptive mailing, showing candidates sure to be elected, and with support for a popular ballot initiative, with an antiProp 37 suggestion on the second page.

I had to convince a woman who is essentially Green in her outlook and voting that Prop 37 was important to pass, as she never looked into the issue of pesticide herbicide ingestion (GM is primarily for the purpose of either keeping the product from being eaten by insects, or creating resistance to herbicides, although taste and other considerations are targets of this relatively new and now increasingly understood to be statistically- related-to-problems modification method)
