I was very interested in the article until it said, "Capitalism and the destruction of life and earth." That is not true. Greed is the problem.

Corporations are comprised of people and run by people. They have no conscience of their own. True capitalism is not the nature of the multi mega corporations we see today. This is corporatism as exemplified by people such as Paul Bremner and Donald Rumsfeld and Rockefeller or Rothschild. It is avarice and usury at an amplified level. It's the people to blame. True capitalism is that exemplified by people like Grandpa Krupp back in the early 20th century.

I wish ordinary people controlled politicians, as envisaged by Abraham Lincoln, and not corrupt corporations.

Noted, thank you. The numbers (population) of Consumers (humans) and the market demands for products and services, are the present causes for extinction of many life forms, with the possibility of this human species being among them. No one business, political belief, or social belief is the cause.

They all can be traced back to we humans being closely related to virus, parasites and other forms of life who consume without thinking of the longer term consequenses. Proliferate and consume the host to death.
