"The primary sponsors of the event have been identified as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center. One would think that would be more than enough to keep Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan from speaking at the event. Nope."

When candidates feel free to openly state bigotry, I guess their party's VP candidate can go to speak at events sponsored by hate [crime] groups--will hate crimes be incited from the event?

I just feel like the Repubs open hatred and media-recorded vows to thwart the Presidency of Obama should be considered treasonous. It's so odd that America went to Afghanistan to fight against the Taliban and their democracy-killing dictates....and are now going to such great lengths to destroy our own democracy here at home. I think the words, "Christian Taliban" or "Evangelical Taliban" are appropriate here.
