This visit, rich as it was with symbolism and photo-ops, was significantly lacking of real substance for those who continue to suffer from economic and social in justice on both sides of the Atlantic.

I think it's just great that the people of Africa are no longer silent on these issues. VIVA la Internet, the world has information and silence is no longer possible.

Well said, Kit. Information is power and the internet puts that power in the hands of many who have been long denied. In an age where corporate forces are moving a global corporate agenda that suppresses human rights and exploits the environment far past any sane limit of sustainability, then we all remain silent at our own risk.
