MEANWHILE, FROM LONDON, A hard-hitting public awareness campaign to help protect seals, whales and elephants is being run by The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and Animals on the Underground. . Members of the public are being asked to send a text message to help protect these threatened or endangered species.

Tens of thousands of endangered elephants continue to be threatened by the illegal ivory trade, over a quarter of a million seals are killed annually in Canada’s cruel and unsustainable seal hunt and whales are still being harpooned despite an international ban on commercial whaling.

Of course this hideous slaughter of baby seals is just one of many current awesome examples of the murders of our planet, of our inhumanity to nature, man, beasts, and the universe. We are not picking out and harassing Canada in particular. We, and not merely US citizens, but people world-wide who are well aware, are deeply concerned, and often bitter that our (US) political-business people are most responsible for selling off our animals' habitat, which also are our beautiful forests and irreplaceable old-growth timber, fresh water, our oceans and beaches; who promote the denial of global warming while promoting our wars and laugh at torturing untried prisoners! You don’t have to belong to a group like care2 to be humanly concerned with life (or to be a “rocket scientist!”) Or to see how much of US tax money is spent on destruction of land and seas all over the world. Surely much of the enormous amounts of energy spent merely on developing more energy, much of it cruelly and destructively, could be used to develop positive methods for such problems as those caused by a “need” for “seal control.”

If you haven't yet decided to sign that petition, and as many on the topic as you can, perhaps after seeing the Seal paintings (SEALS: THEY HAVE NO CHILDREN!) you will feel the need to do so. And to tell others. That is my wish. There are more of these PLANET GENOCIDE paintings on the way: already at least 3 on seals and over 40 in all.

My family and I used to enjoy vacationing from Oregon, USA in the various different and beautiful regions of Canada. For several years now I have sent a similar letter to many of the Canadian government officials and also those in any country (including the US!) who seemed appropriate, that we would never return there until this dreadful, cruel, needless, sadistic murderous slaughter ends forever! Neither will we buy any Canadian products nor those of sealer or whalers. And we urge all our friends to follow and many are boycotting and writing letters.

We will not give up! Every year more and more people are sickened with disgust at such an otherwise civilized, friendly, and accomplished country as Canada, and others whose destructive and murderous practices many of our same people are dealing with. We must talk to everyone we meet. Bring it up in any conversation we can. Yes, we can! And we will!
