So now police are shooting squirrel's as well as dogs. They are that afraid of a little squirrel??? It seems to me that alot of these cops are nothing but p*ssies.

If they are fearful of squirrels and dogs, how can they protect us from violent criminals? t=They should be in a different profession.

Talk about overreacting. The big bad boys in blue have to show how tough they are by shooting a squirrel. Is this what law enforcement has reduced themselves to? Caricatures from a really bad and stupid cartoon. Of course I don't have all the facts . Maybe the squirrel was classified as an enemy combatant from a sleeper cell.
Pleeease! Thanks Giana.

Is it me or are we seeing more instances of where police shoot or tease a human or animal before trying some other remedy? I know they have a dangerous job and I just wonder if "fear" has creped into their ranks...

Ridiculous, what was the point of using a gun? It isn't all that much trouble to use a humane cage or...even...gasp...leave the door open to the store for awhile. The squirrel just might leave of its own accord.

I was on my my way to the library when I saw my first sighting of a grey squirrel
today in a long time. It just hopped and ran in front of me going about its business.
It is always nice to see a wild animal foraging around town. Even a deer, along
with an occasional skunk, a rare sighting of a Bobcat trotting south on the
main road out of town is nice. lol.

I do wonder if the squirrel population is dwindling.

What happened at the Dollar store was a bit too much, doncha think...

Ty, Giana.

Jesus, it's time we started a movement to get guns out of the hands of cops. Seems they'll shoot anything that moves. Hey, ex-officer Putnam, I guess the old "It looked like he was armed" excuse didn't work for you this time.

Cops are unable to stop crime. The criminals re offend and never get caught., but a little squirrel, what next. I guess he was watching too many movies instead of police training.
