This poor animal was tortured and driven to sheer exhaustion...and then, as if this wasn't enough, they have decided to set him on fire!!

He has no chance, at the hands of the sadistic, cruel yobs, who cheer and taunt him!!!

The suffering of Bulls within these sadistic fiestas is never ending...

It's high time the world says to spain:

ENOUGH!....NO MORE!!

"Organisers say the bous al mar fiestas now included the bous embolats (attaching fire to horns) tradition, something that is not normally part of the Jávea fiestas. "

I'm just afraid that the more we are involved in the action to stop burning bull in Spain the more such bloody fiestas we become aware

I can't count the all fiestas we were talking about in FireBull group!!!!
add to that the latest news:
17.09.2009 36 bulls die in Spanish bullrings every day, Government report reveals

A report by the Spanish Interior Ministry shows that 13,349 bulls had died in more than 3,200 bullfights and bullfighting festivals in the country’s bullrings in 2008 – the equivalent of 36 bulls a day. This is an increase of 1,182 (9.7 percent) compared to the previous year.

League campaigner Florian Leppla said: “It is very worrying to learn how so many defenceless bulls die at the hands of a bunch of armed men. Bullfighting is not tradition, it’s not art. It’s pure cruelty that has to stop now.”

What is going on in the country????

I love Spain, its beautiful nature, mountains, architecture and people - but it makes me sick when I see the all scenes of fiestas where animals are tortured to death in barbarian way in front of happy public!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joanna IT IS a beautiful country...but alas thier fate is in mans hand and mans hand alone...Until people start getting empathy for animals of all kinds back into thier hearts and see that it IS WRONG it will keep going on and yes we will hear more and more of these horrid stories I am afraid.

Too bad his torturers didn't get set alight, see how it feels. What a bunch of idiots, Like, "Oh my bad, we didn't think it would die...didn't mean for that to happen." A big DUH!!!!

Yes well, Greece is also a beautiful country but the cruelty to animals there is horrendous. Beautiful countries also have evil people living in them. Lets aim for a yukky looking country that is 'cruelty free' 'vegan/vegetarian' and we can all move there. What do you reckon guys? Since its my idea, I think its great.

Jávea councillor Pepa Chorro, who was responsible for setting the bulls horns on fire, said 'it seemed very nervous' but she put this down to it being the first time it had participated in the fiestas.
She added that after its horns were alight it took no more than five minutes for the animal to dive into the sea, but due to its very tired state it was unable to stay afloat and all efforts to revive it were in vain.

This lady is a bitch.Quote :"It seemed very nervous" Geez woman, wouldn't you ???? Let's try it,but then i would be arrested for man slaughter !!!

Come on Eureka pity the poor Martians! The female councillor who set the bulls horns on fire said" it seemed a little nervous" Now I suppose by that idiotic remark we must assume she would be calm and composed if her har was set on fire or Polanski was behind her with his trousers down! They provide a boat to guide the hapless creature back to land! How wonderfully kind and considerate of them. These people want blessing with Holy Fire to cleanse their evil ways! Followed by a ban on any first aid!

Now setting her hair on fire would be a fantastic idea. Wonder is she will go tut-tut and say, 'Ooh, I'm a bit nervous about this...'

And Chris, I think the 'Martians' will know exactly what to do with these sods. They will probably put them in a self-destruct space ship and blast them out to the ends of the universe, where a timed nuke would take care of them.....

"Jávea councillor Pepa Chorro, who was responsible for setting the bulls horns on fire, said 'it seemed very nervous' but she put this down to it being the first time it had participated in the fiestas."

And no doubt he'd be quite accepting of being tortured and having his horns set on fire once he knew the ropes - oh, the BRAINLESS bitch!
Yes, set her hair on fire - ALL of it!
Then, maybe she'd become agitated and jump in the water and drown - unfortunately it sounds like there's plenty more where she came from.

This is so very sad and not even a practice that makes any difference to the lives of people. It is something that only cruel and unkind people would enjoy. A outright ban cannot be far off.

May I ask if these people pray to their God the evening before their barbaric acts, to please have His hand on them to protect them so that the bulls dont harm them. Do they ask their God to assist them in having an eventful and successful day while they are killing and torturing His creation. If this sport is done in the Name of God, then they can just as well start raping. To me it is the same thing. People like this want to have power over something or someone that can not defend himself, whether it is an animal or human or child.

All around the Mediterranean there are acts associated with bulls which go back several thousand years. The one that I remember was the Minoans who had young people who would chase after a bull in a ring and attempt to puck a flower from between the horns, great acrobatic skill was required.

Spain is an ancient and barbaric society but I would point out that other countries also have cruel "sports", America has rodeos, Britain has grouse shooting (have stopped otter and fox hunting) and Ireland has hare coursing! We all need to set the example.

What pitiful deeds, if they just left these loaning animals alone they would certainly have a future a brighter future. But someone always has to have their hand in the pot. If they only got burned bad enough,, there could be great possibility for change for the bulls lives. Sad..

These criminal acts against animals must be stopped. Spain is predominately a Catholic nation. Why are the Spanish so ignorant when it comes to remembering the examples of St. Francis, and more importantly how Scripture instructs us to give justice to all creation.

The Christians of all dominations are averting their eyes from cruelty to animals, homelessness, poverty, injustice. Shame on Spain and shame on her people who profess to be living in the virtues of Christ.

I am so totally baffled by human behaviour towards defenseless animals. If these poor animals try to defend themselves against such torture, they are shot and killed. It is an absolute no win situation for these poor creatures. Why can we not pass laws everywhere that protect animals against such barbaric, sadistic treatment??? What the hell is wrong with us all? It makes me absolutely want to vomit! This poor animal's death is the ONLY thing that saved him from further torture. You sick assholes!!!
