As an ardent Obama supporter, I am calling on the Senator from New York to stay in the race for as long as she can stand it. Longer even. I think the calls for her withdrawal are deeply troubling, and even hysterical. Anti-democratic even. This is how an election works. And even though this particular one seems to be poorly designed at best, we are in the midst of the process. Voting: A right, may I remind Mr. Leahy, et al -- for which people have fought hard and died.

Let me be clear: I believe that the Clinton campaign has been simply tragic. It is an object lesson in failed promise and panicked, unstable, virulent war-game tactics. It has been marked by shallowness of the first order, and by the relentlessly divisive behavior of a cynical staff. She is fatally compromised in her stature as a credible voice, even perhaps in the senate, and her husband, an ex-president of the United States, is in danger of squandering what is left of his tattered reputation. The utter absence of statesmanship from the Clintons actually is painful to watch. There are lies about being under fire, there are semi-secret conduits to Matt Drudge, there are methods worthy of the Nixon playbook, in terms of sheer cynical zero-sum brinksmanship. There is an endless contempt for Obama's brilliant oratory, his ability to speak to adults like adults, which makes the Clintons suddenly seem like Bushesque boors, frankly. The sneering at his ability to connect reeks of school yard pique. It need not have been this way. There were early signs of a different kind of race, and they evaporated a long time ago. One day, we may live to see such a race. I doubt it.

However, I utterly disagree with those who cynically are calling for her to go quietly into the good night. I think that would be deadly for the fragile unity of the party, a party that should be on the brink of reclaiming control of the White House, and all that goes with it. A huge percentage of Clinton believers would be turned off. I think any Democrat alive knows what it is like to feel disenfranchised after the chaos of the last few elections.

And as any reader of the Huffington Post knows, she has fervent and patriotic supporters. (They will be writing angry letters even before they finish reading these words.) Supporters who still see more of what's good and great about her, who see her brilliance, her stamina, her staggering capacity for survival, as purely admirable, and even vital to whomever is going to be our next chief executive. I do not disagree with the need for a powerhouse in the Oval Office, I just think we need the purging energy of Barack Obama more. Senator Clinton has people who believe in her just as passionately as I believe in Senator Obama. Those supporters deserve to see their nominee fight for as long as she can, as long as she needs to. Well past the point of reasonable hope. That is America. It's in our sports, it's in our business, it's in our blood. And frankly, there is something admirable about the indefatigable Clinton appetite for power. I find it morally vacuous, not to mention shallow as hell when Bill remarks that if you can't take the hits, you shouldn't run. Really, Bill? Did you love your ongoing and disgusting hazing at the hands of right wing zealots so much that you think those tactics are a reasonable litmus test for the presidency, rather than say, oh, profound and inspirational moral force and an utterly unifying presence? Just asking. And as stomach turning as is the new college campus mini-trend of questioning of the Clinton's daughter about Ms. Lewinsky, well, so long as the Clintons are willing to put her out there to play that particular game of tennis, well then, who are we to stop 'em? Go. Go. Go. Go to town.

Maybe there's something purging about it for them. More than anything else, for purely selfish reasons, I do not, for one, think this race should end until William Jefferson Clinton is asked, and exhaustively and comprehensively answers each and every last question pertaining to the unconscionable pardoning of the crooked financier Marc Rich. Because, he too will be in the White House again, powerful, cynical, and hungry. Who knows what favors would be traded in exchange for God only knows what?

No, Hillary should remain in the race. As Frank Rich pointed out last Sunday, she knowingly fabricated the details of her landing in Bosnia, and she did so repeatedly, shamelessly, even after she was entirely revealed as a fabulator worthy of the hoariest backlot Hollywood schlockmeister. So -- Let it go on and on and on and on. The truth, as it did in the case of her trip to the "war zone", will come out. It always does. the last aria has not been sung, and the Valkyrie has yet to exhaust her lungs. And as the race continues to the bitterest end, I hope that Senator Clinton's many supporters are entirely satisfied that she did this to herself. That she exhausted her every chance.

It could have been different. As I have said before, character is fate, and that is what we are witnessing, as her campaign falters. Let it go on until all hope is exhausted. Those of us who look at the Clintons and see the full dimensions of the failure of their promise to America will also feel some sense of loss when she withdraws. She shied away from greatness, so as to hold on to power. Character is fate.

Before you say much more I would invite you to go www.taylormarsh.com and read more balanced NEWS reporting., regarding ALL candidates.
Since he pulled the race card way back when, my distrust of him has only increased, when he turned his back on her at the State of the Union, and his failure to place his hand over his heart during the National Anthem is nothing more than a disgrace-I have yet to hear him or see him put his hand out and ASK anyone with regards to race: "How can I help you to move us ALL forward?" My anger towards him and his tactics have not diminished with his speech. And so far all he has are a couple of speeches...
So enough with the bs cut to the chase-"IT'S THE ISSUES STUPID!"

"Clinton Ahead of the Curve on the Economy ...

According to YouTube upload logs, the above video was "added March 28, 2007." Clinton was warning of the economic crisis long before it happened. Why? Because running for president isn't a vanity shot at fame for Clinton. She worked for decades to be prepared for it, unlike Senator Obama. It's a moral calling for her, because Hillary Clinton believes she can lead this country, and with the help of others working with her, can actually solve our biggest challenges. ...Clinton showed up at the first Carson City, NV forum, unlike Obama, who instead did a flyover to another fundraiser. Clinton not only showed up at the next health care forum, but she blew everyone off the stage. ...As for Obama's appearance, it was as astounding as it was underwhelming. Obama showed up unprepared and promising his health care plan would be rolled out soon. "

While over at www.taylormarsh.com one might also want to check out this article.
“ What You Might Have Missed…

“ Andrew Sullivan stepped in it on Tim Russert's MSNBC show this weekend that showcased a trifecta of Clinton haters: Russert, Sullivan and Christopher Hitchens; though Hitchens is at least amusing and incredibly bright, with Sullivan, whether you like him or not (though his Clinton derangement is embarrassing), being very earnest if nothing else. Anyway, Sullivan was talking about Iraq, John McCain and Barack Obama, when he let this little beauty slip without any sense of irony or the damage it could cause his favorite candidate: “

"I actually think they're not as far apart as some people say." - Andrew Sullivan

Ans as a lesbian there is this section of the same article:
“ I'm sure Mr. Sullivan has no problem with this either: PGN (Philadelphia Gay News) invited both Clinton and Obama, as well as presumptive Republican candidate John McCain, to speak with us. Only Clinton granted an interview. “

Obama buys ads, but time and time again does not accept invitations not only that I had recently an article over at NO QUARTER about how back in 2004 when Mayor Newsome of San Francisco was pushing for same-sex marriage that Obama did not want to have his picture taken with him-too risky to be seen with the same-sex mayor- hmmm waving a speech around made in 2002 about being anti-war amongst anti war constituents is hardly "risky" politically but apparently being seen with a straight guy who supports same-sex marriage was a risk Mr. Obama was not willing to take. Preaching to the choir is hardly risky business.

He is one year younger than I and I quite frankly am embarrassed and appalled at his behavior-I am embarrassed that this (Mr. Obama) is what is representing my generation. I know we can do a hell of a lot better. To say “ She can stay and campaign she has earned the right…” WTF?!? As if he had earned any right-bullshit! He/we as the next genereation have barely earned the right to be at the table and if he were a white guy or any other nationality or from the LGBT community with such a flimsy resume-he most certainly would not be where he is today! Come on be honest about that at least….

So before delving in too much further I would suggest you might review the ISSUES here and forget about the personality contest.

By the way-she never said she wasn't going to play rough-but I do recall he saying something about doing politics differently-so like when is that going to take place or is what I have seen and read his idea of a different kind of politics? Seems like same-old same old to me…

You might want to consider something else as well, for someone who is supposed to be representing a new kind of thinking I have to tell ya-Hillary has been beating him time and time again-think of the following:
Texas-was being out spent- so what did she do? Instead of complaining about what she didn't have she instead bought air time on Texas tv the night before the primary and held a "Town Hall Conversation" -this I thought was absolutely BRILLIANT!
Now she has a contribution campaign for PA where we get to determine where OUR contributions should go! And for NC-she has an interactive ad campaign running-she has an add running on tv with a website specifically for those in NC to go and ask questions to which she will respond in subsequent ads on tv.!
So you want to talk about someone who thinks out of the box-I might suggest taking a look at HIllary-
You want to talk about ISSUES I might also suggest going to www.hillaryclinton.com and click on "Issues" then go over to "Newsroom" and look at the "Press releases" and "Speeches" there is plenty there to read...

Here's another thing to consider-she has 34 Ret. Military Flag Officers supporting her two former Joint Chiefs of Staff, so who do I think is going to have a better handle of pulling people together to start pulling our troops OUT of Iraq within 60 days of her taking office-it'll be HIllary especially since he continues to waiver on just when he'll start to bring troops home-she has not wavered one bit on this -60 days post taking office, and then 2 brigades/month...what's Barack's timetable?

Here's one more thing to think about: the people who are supporting him:
Dean-caved to the media with regards to his Speech-he should've told them to "go to hell" but no, he caved.
Pelosi- Caved on the Impeachment issue-took it off the table before she evene got into office.
Kerry-caved to the Swiftboaters.
Kennedy-caved-in general.
Gore-Caved on the Florida vote count-should have counted ALL the votes!
Dasachle-continues to bumble and stumble every time he is on tv for his guy.
Various members of congress-hell they have a lower poll rating than Bush! I left the Dem Party because they just caved continuously to the Republicans for the past 7 years!

Hillary on the other hand has supporters like- Maxine Waters, the above mentioned 34 Flag Officers (including Wesley Clark), Maya Angelou...Strength, character and class...

It would also seem that Mr. Obama has been off on his timeline for when he was conceived and the Selma march, as well as the Kennedy's bringing his father out of Kenya-turns out it wasn't on their dime but someone else's ahhh how sad-one more time Oprah has been naive and gullible with regards to an author. I do believe she said she has known him for the past 20 yrs. hmm....this does concern me that she is supporting him and his teachings from Rev. Wright- so according to her "He (Obama) is the ONE" really this scares the hell out of me. His anger is really not I want in the house.

Where are his state legislative papers? By the way-you do realize that he padded his resume with his bills written, co-sponsored, passed etc…I have posted this at MYdd.com with the link to I believe it’s to factchecker.com to check out his record vs what he says he did in an e-mail sent out to folks-in short he LIED about his accomplishments.

Then of course there is also this lovely article: 9/11: Where Barack Obama and Condi Rice Sound Alarmingly Alike…
MATTHEWS: Let me give you a scene that may face you in the next year or two, where the national security adviser calls you at 3:00 in the morning and tells that you a couple of jet-commercial jets have been hijacked. And they believe it is al Qaeda. And, as we know, al Qaeda always tries a second time. They tried for the World Trade Center after '93. They came back in '01.
They're heading for the Capitol. What do you do?

OBAMA: Well, look, I am hesitant to engage in hypotheticals like that, because...
MATTHEWS: But it has been predictable.
OBAMA: Oh, well, the-I don't think anybody predicted 9/11. And, so, we don't know what kinds of circumstances are going to come up.”
Ahh, but don’t stop there, go to http://taylormarsh.com and read the rest of this article you’ll find it very interesting I am sure.
Then there’s this statement regarding the Rev. Wright thing:
“ I was not in the church when those things were said…” Ehh wait, wait-there’s more; “well yes I was in the church when…” hmm now who does that really sound like? So who is more likely to remind any of us of a time when….need I say any more? I think not.
Oh yeah then of course there’s this: 5 different explanations for NAFTA gate by Obama finally admitting there was a meeting…nice, real nice. For more of these go to www.hillaryclinton.com and click on “Facthub”
So feeling like I just threw the “kitchen sink” at you oh well, you opened up yourself up to it just thought I’d better inform you. Welp hopefully you able to catch it and everything else I just threw at you.
Oh and by the way-should he get the nomination I like a whole lot of other folks will NOT be voting for him I will be voting my conscience and writing in Hiallry’s name.
Well, have a great day!

Namaste
Kerry
