Republicans said he had been damaged by several rallies last week in which supporters shouted insults and threats about Mr. Obama, prompting Mr. McCain on Friday night to chide audience members. His aides suggested that they were trying to find a balance between attacking Mr. Obama and painting him as untested and risky without stirring unruly crowd reactions.

Poor Maude. She doesn't deserve to be compared to Palin :)

What did they expect? Did they actually think they were going to win over independents and conservative Dems by spewing hate speech and inciting violence? If anything, I am worried about the Obama family now that the racist base is fired up.

Politics in the Zeros: Spread the meme. Republicans are the party that wrecked America. John McCain’s long history with bank failures and financial scandals makes him uniquely ‘qualified’ to speak to the current crisis.

The next time a Republican friend says McCain is ready to Regulate the financial world... Refer them to ProgressiveAccounting.org
for a really long list of all the DEREGULATION McCain has supported over the past 26 years to get us into this mess.

Then suggest a vote for Obama.

They're playing their last cards and failing. They can't win on their record or their old ideas, so fear and hatred are all that's left. I hope Americans are finally burnt out on the politics of hate and fear.
