The CEO of the Kenyan Pest Control Products Board (PCPB), Mrs Gladys Maina cannot have a serious conversation with us about carbofuran poisoning in Kenya. She appears to be bitterly angry that WildilfeDirect has called for a ban on this product.

You all need to know that there are so many birds and wildlife species that die from this and when a predator finds these dead animals they eat upon them then they die...The people even eat of these birds and this cannot be good for them either...not sure about the human death yet but this stuff is like our own DDT...NOT GOOD AT ALLLL....

Big goirlly Hugs

Wildlife Direct and others are trying to get this through their heads and they seem to not care??? Money seems to be the root of all evil...

UNDOUBTEDLY Monsanto, and/or Dow Chemical, have a hand in this. Little "local" companies DON'T HAVE THE FACILITIES to produce this stuff.

Carbofuran poisons have JUST BEEN BANNED IN THE UNITED STATES. So, what're we gonna DO with our stocks? WHERE DO WE MAKE OUR PROFITS??? Oh, yes, the Third World -- those guys are poor and struggling, therefore ALWAYS ON THE TAKE, at least we can find SOME government official SOMEwhere that wants to live off of more than their pitiful salary........

THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE. That is why we NEED GLOBAL SUPERVISION. These companies HAVE ALREADY GONE GLOBAL. We need STRONG ENFORCEABLE BANS by local governments AND by International bodies. These International bodies should GO TO THE SOURCE OF THESE GLOBAL POISONS: the GLOBAL COMPANIES THEMSELVES.

I remember the advertising slogan in the '50's, by Du Pont: "Better Living Through Chemistry." How IRONIC that sounds now! {And how INNOCENT some people were back then, to BUY such a load of Scheiss!}

Unfortunately these countries are so slow to react... and sometimes they do not see the broader picture, but look rather to relying on these chemcials.. Like in Mozambique they were still spraying deadly chemicals inside the dwellings without regard for their safety.. Only seeing malaria as a greater threat.. this is the sad raliy about some of these countries..
