You know it does not surprise me at all.
This has been done for 42 years and now all the sudden tey don't do them. That is crzay and even disgraceful.
But like I said it is not surprising when Obama did not celebrate National Day of Prayer, but did celebrate the end of Ramadan.
The same President who calls for Human rights but refuses to meet with the great leaders of Human Rights movement like the Dali Lama. And celebrates China\US relations.China being a huge human rights violator.
Obama ran on Christian beliefs and now denies them.
This is not equality, this is biogtry when the Pentagon expresses that it was denied specifically because it was a "Christian event".
When one group's rights are denied or taken by the Federal Government ask yourself one question......
"When will they come for right's?"
Because that is what will happen.
Suppression of rights does not stop with just one group of people. No matter who those are.Unless they are people in power.
Remember that.
Not that this is on FoxsNews....forget about that!
But that this is about rights, whether you agree with these groups or not.

Just because someone does it for 42 years does that make it law...Just asking not tryin to be crappy...yall know me pretty much by now. Sorry to alot of you all out there but all I see in christianity is hypocrisy everwhere....He has the right I beleive to take whatever religion he wishes that is called freedom is it not or have we forgotten that??? Is is only the man can be president if he belive only in christianity and g-d??? Hmmmmmmm such is life I guess one cannot be who they truley are...

nah your not a donkey:)
But the point is actually about the freedoms of ALL americans not the Presidents freedoms.
Whether or not he has a religion or what religion that might be is of No concern to me and that is his right.
But for a President,a man in great seat of power, to deny one group of people,in this case Christians,in favor of others that is simply the beginings of bigorty in my perception.
He is suppose to represent ALL Americans Christian,Muslims,Atheist whatever and he is simply not doing that.
In fact not only is he not representing ALL Americans; he and his adminstration are taking steps to actually prevent a group from praticing it's beliefs or in this case holding an event that has over the years become a tradition.
That violates people's freedoms of religion and expression.
It would be the same thing if a City mayor told the LGBT community that they would not allow a parade for Gay Pride because "They are Gay".
That would violate their rights and freedoms, same thing.
They relayed the message to the God & Country group was directly targeted to their relgion.
If the Pentagon had said 'You know we are in a recession right now we can not spare the expense" or something like that it would be a TOTALLY different story!
But the group was specifically told that reason for the denial of the fly over was due to the fact that it was a "Chrisitan event".
That is an obvious discrimination against their religious beliefs.

There is hypocrisy everywhere.hypocrisy is not just something that Christians ivented or are the onlky ones that commit hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy is a very Human Flaw. And EVERYONE and any group can fall prey to such a flaw.
Whether we agree or not with individuals and\or groups we must in ALL circumstances stand on the side of freedoms and rights of ALL Americans.
Whether it be Christians and Atheist or Conservatives and Liberals.
we should never allow the federal government to do such things to anyone or group in this country.
But that is my opinion.
Have a good one Gorilly Girl:)

Okay ok!So I just had this discussion with my hubby..who is a HUge republican ok.And he is actually kinda opposite of me on this issue.
He thinks that the Pentagon was actually in the right to deny the Fly Over, under Seperation of Church and State.
Which is a valid point,no question.
I still stick to my guns though on the whole treating groups differently due to their religious beliefs and etc...
But that was a very good point I thought I needed to post it.

It is an issue of the separation of church and state. We have to work harder, as does President Obama, to get that separation put back into place after the past 8 years. No other religion has even had equal standing in the US, even in the US government, with Christianity, and it's gotten worse since 2001. Now, we have a President who is thoughtful and intelligent enough to begin to restore the balance. It's true that some will be offended and Fox news does everything possible to get the knee jerk reaction going (no thoughtful inquiry or reflection, just a spastic reaction to the application of some force). Well, if President Obama is working to even this out and pry the fingers of the religious right from around our national throat, that is in the best interests of all of us.
Obama was criticized during the campaign because the right didn't like some of the things that his Christian Preacher said in Church. IN CHURCH. Then they lied about him being a Muslim (as if there is anything wrong with that - there is Not).
As I keep explaining to some of my relatives who claim to be fervent Christians, if we can force children to pray to God in school, then they can be forced to pray to the Devil or to Allah, or to anyone / anything else.
It's best to keep religion out of our government and it is correct of President Obama to try to get that done (and to do it a little at a time). Why should the military spend our tax money on this? Would you approve a flyover of a Satanist rally if requested? How about a Temple or Mosque? Why should anyone spend our tax money this way when people are homeless and hungry anyway? Who could possibly defend this on ANY level at all? We're at war with two countries and our military is stretched to the breaking point and someone is bellyaching about THIS?
For crying in a bucket.

I don't know about Dragonfly's opinion and only speak for myself but Fox Friends is not a news show and they don't report the news. I've seen it often enough where they just told flat lies to know better than that. And wasn't that the show where that blond ditz described the President and First Lady as doing a "terrorist fist bump" ? Sheesh. Not the news.

One could say the samething for Left wing,Liberal commentators like Rachel Maddow and Olbermann.
The point is is it really happening.
Yes.
Is the story true.
Yes.
Just because you don't agree where the information is coming from doesn't mean you should blow off the story entirely.
That would make Liberals the same as the conservatives that stood by and watched the things that Bush did with no question.

i chose not to be the same.

Wow!
Niiiccee.
Seriously,communist?!
1)The Mask (you speak of) is me celebrating Day of the dead or Dias de La Muerte.
Which is part of my heritage.
Can you get anymore Culturally insenstive!
Seriously, make a difference by educating yourself on the Hertiage of others.

2)I wasn't arguing with anyone of anything.I was merely responding to your smart remark.
Which if you anyone can be one sided.
And when you are people will condemn others.
Like I said.
The same can be easily said about LIBERAL..did ya get that Liberal commentators like Maddow,Olbermann and CNN, etc....
It doesn't matter where the info comes.
We the People, (You know in a Free NON-COMMUNIST,NON-SOCIALIST Society) have the freedom and the abilities to question stories like this by finding OUR own information on the validate of the issue.

If you have an issue debating with people that is simple not my fault.
You made a comment that was anything but productive.especail for someone who is trying to make a difference.
Where u got communism from in my comment or on my profile is far beyond me.
As you said YOU love My President and living in a country that has socialized medicine...well...I guess you must be referring to yourself as being a supporter of Socialism and Communism.
Figures considering you can't even bear with the fact that someone disagrees with your opinion.

You have fun with that.
I believe in Equalitarianism and Democray.Maybe you should actually do some research on what Communism actually is.
And YES I do love my "Freedom to Bear Arms" ,just as I enough all my freedoms provided to be the Constitution of the United States.
That's why I live in AMERICA and not Canada.

By the way big Secret you SOME of you Canadiansare keeping, but any Canadian I have meet doesn't quite seem to like Your governments policies or our current President.
No big surprise there.
Considering that TONS of you guys are moving here over the years to get away from that.

You have fun be closed minded.
By the way everybody else Happy Halloween and anyone who wants to know anything about celebrating Day of the Dead hit me up:)

WHOOOOOOOOPS... One more! How about this!!! I am sure it includes gorillies and other animals and animal lovers. Would the following example be up for those whose hypocrisy only targets "Christianity"? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM?

Do Animals believe in God?
Recently I have been reading books on Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and other great philosophers who have written based on their knowledge of Vedas. Swami Vivekananda says that if you have to understand the world, you need to generalize. That is true. If you look into how a living body is made, we all have the same structure. We have a wrist, so do dogs, cows, cats, elephants, lions and reptiles and birds. Then we have the elbow, same is true for the above animals, then the shoulder…. Same for the animals mentioned. Of course, we do not have tails… but understand I am just generalizing. Two eyes, two legs, similar nose, ears etc. etc.

There are differences too… those differences are only on the shape, design, degree of use etc… but not concept. Conceptually, animals and humans are same, except that it does not deceive or cheat or lie.

Now, to my main concern, do the animals too believe in God? Do they pray? When not reading on Swami Vivekananda or Gandhi, I watch Animal Planet. According to studies, animals have feelings, affection and almost all emotions that we people have. I was shocked when I saw the movie – ‘March of the Penguins’ (I know, they did not show this on Animal Planet). But, if they have similar emotions, do they also believe in God? Most of us pray (generalization) for some selfish purpose be it loving spouse, healthy child, safe living, comforts etc. I am sure animals too want them. Animals too protect their children, expect safe living etc. and so won’t they have to ask that from somebody? As I child, I used to throw stones at dogs and they would run to the house where they feel safe and hide until the danger (me and my friends) walks away. So, when the dog hides, will it not pray so that we do not find it or hurt it? Do they understand the concept of God? Do they not understand the concept of God? It seems animals can see more than what humans can see. Do you think they would have already seen God? Is it true that the dog howls when it sees ‘Yama dharma raja’? Can it see them? Or does it know that there is no God and that is the reason it does not pray?

Dear Friends,
Please do not fall for this divide and conquer tactic.

It should never have happened at all, let alone for 42 years. It was entirely inappropriate as a show of military power in connection with any godhead.

Pure propaganda...For God and Country with sound effects provided by the Air Force. A great opportunity for mass hypnosis.

Yanking the Air Force participation was meant to yank your chains and push your buttons.

That's diversionary and divisive only if you let it be and fall into the trap. Keep your eye on the fact that the Banksters are stealing you blind.

Canada loves your president whether you love that or not .... Well THAT is a misstatement if I have ever heard one Canuck .... After the election when he flew into Ontario they expected hundreds of thousands of Canadians to show up to greet him and guess what - we stayed home. Not that welcomed here on the west coast. Do not dislike the man but cannot stand his spending or his politics .... But then Ontario is the most Liberal Province in Canada ....

LL, please accept a sincere appology from this Canadian for the rudeness of another. I love your avatar! Usually Canadians are a polite bunch but it would seem there are still some who could do with a lesson in good manners. I am honoured to be your friend here at Care 2 and tonight is a night for celebration! Great election results on your side of the border .... could have been a wee bit better but it is demonstrative that America is finally waking up!

...WOW...this is deep......???.....been away from care2 for about four weeks...come back...and tiny wars rage, anybody wanna move on~~?~~ reminds me of an old adage, that always can set the soul right......goes like this within your own perceptions of whoever you may feel you are at the moment......."and the truth shall set you free." i know this is at least a twelve day old post, but thought i'd pay attention...as some may see it "time does wait for all men" and if the truth really be told... perhaps we all just speak the same language...but in a ~round_about_way~...............
