All I'm asking is that you recognize the special nature of this case and allow him to leave the country - a result which still allows you to uphold the spirit of the law while avoiding the death of what I and many others consider to be an innocent dog...

Victoria Stilwell will be in Belfast over the weekend and at the beginning of next week to visit with the Barnes family and explore any last-ditch efforts to save Lennox. She will post any updates here, and also encourages you to visit Lennox’s official page

The conditions he is kept in looks very cruel and heartless, this dog did nothing, he should be saved and be allowed to live. Too bad for Brooke, her companion torn away from her, he helped her so much!

This will likely be my last comment on this, given the point we're at now. The light is at the end of the tunnel, but whether it's an oncoming train or not, I just don't know. But I shall a repeat an observation I've made in earlier comments and in all my letters to NI and Westminster: If Lennox is murdered, the cost will be high. NI wants financial aid, business investment, and tourist currency. But so deep is the bond between people and dogs, so great the passions situations such as this evoke, that all boundaries are crossed. Politicians, corporate executives, and people in Bakersfield or Assisi or Winnipeg or Amsterdam planning the next trip abroad are brought by this infamy under the same umbrella. And that is the potential menace for NI in all this. They can do the right thing or they can pay the price. The greatest foolishness here is their obduracy in ignoring offers of adoption of Lennox from abroad, for it surely must make others wonder just what the hell sort of people these are to do business with.

We are all stunned and helpless because of a law so stupid and blind, that should protect people and instead sparked a global storm.
I hope that the clamor for this storm will be able to stop a sentence so unjust.

Belfast, Ireland you need to be very careful because if you will kill this innocent, you will must pay an economic cost, I do not know whether low or high but there will be a cost, and in these times of very
deep economic crisis in Europe a good state should avoid
We can only pray but also screaming to the world the injustice that ireland will take

I have a candle lit by three days in my house and is the first time I do this.
Thank you Julia for this upgrade

Many Blessings for Lennox. I do not understand the steadfast stance when there are so many offers to rehome a dog that has done nothing but be a creature that was given to us. He is only one of the many breeds that are singled out for destruction or persecution because of many unfounded perceptions. I do not like the term"bully Breeds" for that is the bad connotation perceived by states, cities, municipalities & insurance companies that ban an entire breed for the problems of a few. We take this same mentality & place it on entire cultures, belief systems & people based on wrong doings of a few.
It is might hope that reason will prevail. Thank you Julia & to of course, Victoria Stillwell for her stance.

I have done all in my power to promote petitions in Facebook groups, pages made specially for Lennox and Twitter, for what wonderful caring people has responded in amazing ways, and forward, sign and posted pictures of protest for this so inhumane action from BCC. to adorable Lennox.
Painfully and with a sinking heart I learned last Monday the sad news, for what I immediate stared to think what else is to do when all we can has been done by every single animal lover who has followed this case. Now I am just on the watch for what the following days are to bring, but only one question remains in my mind: Why is it so hard to do what is compassionate, morally right and humane for those who are innocent?
Why is so hard? Because humans natural way of thinking never make sense and it will never will as long as we feel we are superior to other species, little that we know all other animals excluding humans have a reason to be here and they know that reason and live by it, with the exception of humans, therefore as someone said: "The more I know people, the more I love and respect animals" And this is why animals will always come first for me before any human need, because we have choices, animals don't.

the blood of all our fellow beings, is crying out for justice
you can tell a lot about a person or society by the way it treats the beings it doesn't think it has to treat well. silence is acceptance
life has value beyond measure

Lennox and his story just break my heart. I have no words for what has happened to him and his family. His family has tried everything and politics prevail. If he had done something it would be one thing, but he did nothing. It is who he is and it is not his fault. I hope and pray with all my heart that Lennox is saved and sent to the United States. So many people want him, including me. God Bless You Lennox and may you soon be SET FREE!~ Justice For Lennox!!!!

I hope that I am wrong and that Lennox is safe and will be rehomed in another country, but my gut says that he has already been euthanized. There is no other explanation as to why Belfast City Council is so against discussing any other options other than what they have already done. I hope I am proved wrong and that Lennox is given a second, after all, he has done nothing to deserve a death sentence.

noted...I am still in disbelief that this beautiful dog would even be considered to be put down....he has done nothing wrong but been born a pit what???? He has never harmed anyone yet they take him away from his loving family and been locked up now for 2 years....where is the love of animals here???? I have cried each time I read about this dog....I pray in the name of Jesus that justice will conquer and this dog will be spared his life. He truly has suffered enough....don't you think 2 years is enough??? we have humans that HAVE done wrong and their sentence is not even that long.....where is the justice in this case???? God I pray that Lennox will be free!!!!!

Thanks for the post Julia. There is nothing further I can add to the comments above..all has been said. I will write every day until we hear the final verdict in regard to Lennox. I pray Victoria can do something to reach the hearts of the Belfast council who have the power to release this poor animal into US custody. I'll keep praying...

If these Northern Ireland bastards kill poor Lennox they WILL pay bigtime!!!Why not rehome Lennox to another country.I have offered to adopt him to live in Australia and many others have also made offers to bring him to their countries. There is no reson for this not to be enabled. My offer is a serious one and it still stands

I am praying for Lennox; he has done nothing to deserve this treatment. Belfast City Council are animal abusers for the inhumane way they have treated Lennox and the Barnes family. The whole world is watching and there are many animal lovers around the world who read with disbelief of this situation that has been going on for 2+ years. I feel so sorry for the little girl whose dog was taken away from her; what has this done to her? This morning, I wrote emails again to BCC, that idiot, pass the buck Paterson, and a new one to Minister O'Neill. There is no reason why Lennox can't rejoin his family or be rehomed in another country except that BCC is comprised of a bunch of mean-spirited excuses for humans.

Sometimes the only thing left to do, as difficult as it is, is to pray for a change of heart for those who have been given power. For Lennox's sake, I am doing this today. I am also especially thinking of and praying for Lennox and the members of the Barnes family.
