Excellent article!! I just posted the same one under another name, so I apologize for the duplicate. I did a search looking for any duplicates, but none showed up.

Anyway, this is critical information to the health and well-being of children and adults. I hope this information gets disseminated widely. Thanks IAMD!!!

thank you I am also looking at othe imports to other countries like Australia and New Zealand as well as south asia countries, little or nill information has being sent to the people on food or bi products of chinese milks.
The morality in China is next to nothing. Those in power wants money. 80% of Chinese people live in poverty. there are a lot of Chinese citizens eating process food.

Doctors are reporting a "steep rise" in the number of young children with kidney stones, according anecdotal data cited by The New York Times.

"In China recently, many children who drank milk tainted with melamine — a toxic chemical illegally added to watered-down milk to inflate the protein count — developed kidney stones," the paper says. "The increase in the United States is attributed to a host of factors, including a food additive that is both legal and ubiquitous: salt."

Experts say children are consuming too much salt and too little water. They also blame obesity for the increase in the number of pediatric kidney stone cases that doctors are seeing across the USA.

"The incidence of kidney stones in adults has also been rising, especially in women, and experts say they see more adults in their 20s and 30s with stones; in the past, it was more common in adults in their 40s and 50s," the paper says.

Thank you, Johnnie. This is tragic to see children get kidney stones. I'm a strong advocate of growing our own food so we know what we are eating. If that isn't possible, we should go toward organic food grown locally. Many say they cannot afford organic food. Well, if a person gets sick, compare the cost to doctor and hospital bills and the cost becomes insignificant.

It's all about awareness and priorities. If we select our foods as carefully as we select a piece of clothing that looks and fits properly, the government would quickly improve our quality of foods.
