Is it possible the carvings were done outside in daylight & when finished placed where they wanted it?

I've never read about the primitive "battery" before! How mind bending to think they had electricity; the lack of soot is such a convincing point. Would it be possible this was one of many things taught to them by "visitors"? Thanks, Bob
