"Our feeling is not to go state by state," Mr. Reiner said. "Our strategy is to make this wind up in the United States Supreme Court and have this a settled issue for all time."

To me - let people do what they want - but since we no longer have a Constitution - I wonder is it all worth it,

I admire Rob Reiner as a man who puts his money where his principles are....and acts accordingly!

To hell with marriage, send it back where it came from.

What marriage does is give the government control over you.

If you and your spouse are on Social Security Retirement, you get less money!

Marriage is a civil right! It insures not only "respectability", but the right to inherit, to share healthcare, to get cheaper insurance, to get better Tax breaks, and it assures the couple a say in each others health & well-being. Society KNOWS this already - politicians are way behind the times & way too far up the 1%'s narrow minds!;)

"settled issue for all time" - boy, wouldn't that be nice? To just be able to say, "it's a fact, Jack" and no brain-dead politician could ever bring it up again...YES!

It's like women's rights.....even when you THINK it's all "settled," school yard bullies will try to sneak back in and wrest it from us.

I'm not surprised that many straight people support gay rights. Many straight people know people who are gay, just as many men support women's rights because there are women that they care about. And some people just try to support what is right, even if it doesn't directly affect them.
